Prep Learning Support

At Pocklington Prep School we nurture, inspire and encourage all pupils to reach their potential... and beyond.

We are proud of the learning support we provide

We understand the vital importance of providing each child with the specific, personal learning support they need.

Our Learning Support team are extensively experienced and work collaboratively across all year groups, led by our Assistant Head (Pupil Progress), Amy Pimm BA Hons PGCE.

Supporting children’s learning throughout their entire journey from 4 to11 years and beyond means we are able to gain a clear understanding of a child’s development and effectively scaffold them to excel. We promote a passion for learning in an inspirational environment, where children are empowered to progress in an exciting and motivating way.

Support is targeted, reviewed and implemented for each child’s individual needs with a focus on personalised learning.

We support a range of other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the School, including, but not limited to, ASC (autism), dyslexia, dyscalculia and ADHD.

If you would like to get in touch to discuss your child’s needs and find out how we can support their journey through Pocklington Prep School, please contact our Learning Support Coordinator.
